Türk Dil Kurumu’nun güncel Türkçe sözlüğünde 100 binden fazla kelime olduğu biliniyor. Bu kelimelere kullanılan terimler, lehçeler, halk ağzı da eklenince sayı daha da artıyor. Fakat ortalama bir insan gündelik hayatta yaklaşık 400 kelime kullanıyor.
